Once they play against teams with competent defense (because no the Nuggets don't have anyone protecting the rim and have 2 *other* negative defenders on their lineup), it will be a real challenge for Ty Lue to find a way to keep Dunn in during crunch time.

It's the era of "alternative facts" where it doesn't matter what happens but what I think happened.
Imo it was the worst thing that the first Trump presidency established: That no truth/fact matters if it goes against what I believe.

It depends on what you see as success I guess. I still think 2 AMs is unfeasable (unless you play the "meta" way) if you want to be consistently successful.

Also I would love for *anyone* to come up with a consistentbdefensive tactic but in my experience 3-5-2 meta is the closest one can get

Ketsbaia is a synonym of "crazy" as far as I am concerned

Unfortunately 3-4-3 can't be used on FM with 2 AMs (at least not with consistent success) and I tried a similar one with wingers but leaves a lot of defensive gaps. I would love to be able to create something similar defensively as this video but alas, FM and defensive football just doesn't go well

Maybe a 12-13 Messi one? Something outrageous. Or maybe a 07-08 Derby County?

Eh I don't know how much higher we can get. Realistically we maybe can catch Croatia, but other than that we need another great year as this one before we talk about anything higher than 18th

Unfortunate that Pafos or Omonoia won't go through as I was optimistic all 3 of our teams could be in the last 16. Apoel and Pafos were within inches of being there already and Omonoia surely has good chances against most of the other sides. Alas, at least we 100% have 1 team, maybe 2.

So wait, the police found out that a match about to be played was going to be fixed and instead of putting people in jail, their action was to postpone said match? Wouldn't they fix it anyway? What is the point of finding about it when they don't do anything to punish match fixing?

Omonoia 29th of May

Lots of grammar issues but you can get the gist of it. I tried to say that I don't have problems with players talking as I actualy support it, but I also dont have issues with clubs punishing the players if what they say goes against the ideals of the club and/or do it without permission

...left wing nature, but the fans in majority are still left wing. So while I do agree that Omonoia FC aren't exacty a bastion of left politics (fan's card, stopped promoting left initiatives, went against their fans political stance) the fans are still majorly left wing and Omonoia should back them

Finally I will never condone a player for speaking their mind in a press conference, but I also won't condone a club for punishing a player for talking without permission and for saying stuff that don't align with the clubs values. I do agree with Stel that the club has basically lost all of its....

Polish people arguing about the banner being non-factual (like Stepinski) just parrot the same nationalistic propaganda (again like every country). However it CANNOT be equated to the Cypriot national problem AT ALL and it is very dangerous to portray it as so (despite junta being basically nazis)

...anything positive from them and again I am not trying to tell you that I am a grand historian, but I do know some stuff around the WW2. USSR did in fact liberate Warsaw, after basically lending no help to the Polish rebels (despite promising it) and after WW2 ended they commited many attrocities

Not going into the history rabbit hole, but Polish due to their hatred for anything USSR learn a very nationalistic side (as every country). So while the Soviets did in fact do terrible things for Poland, the discource around them gets a bit murky when talking with Polish. They don't aknowledge...

Omonoia due to Gate 9 are regularly grouped with other left/far left clubs in Europe. Yes G9 have left, but most of the ultras in Europe don't know it, so there is a natural rivarly with these clubs. Legia have faced Omonoia before and they were very provocative, so there is prior beef.

Legia ultras are one of the most far right groups in the world. They regularly show anti-left tifos/flags/banners and they regularly cause trouble when playing other left wing teams. Add to that that most Polish clubs are right to far right and that's why "all Polish fans" were mad.

I also do like the discussion and I am gutted I couldn't watch the pod live because there is a tonne of context that should have been added.
I think our main disagreement is "keep politics out of football" which I am 100% against. Some of the things you might have missed:

Thasso this is probably the first time I completely disagreed with everything you both stated last night. I think both of you took a lot of things outside of context and both of you tried to play the "both sides" argument which falls flat in the case of literal nazis.

Omonoia 29M vs Apoel because we are the complete opposites (left vs right, working class vs high class, Cypriot identity vs Greek identity etc) and O29M vs Omonoia as O29M is the phoenix club after 2018 where Omonoia was sold to an investor.

I think it's more of a personel issue tbh, especially the 2nd goal was a loss of concentration and with it there goes the high line. It's difficult to focus for 90+ minutes every game and even more difficult for youngsters. I think Barca were generally ok and unlucky today, wouldnt panic just yet

Apoel recorded a fairly professional win, nothing really stood out other than the empty stands.

Pafos were amazing, even when 2 goals down you just knew they could and would fight back. A slighlty missplaced pass goes different and they get a point.

Omonoia have a European complex. Simply terrible

I've seen people with "sponsorships" or people who farm interactions with the intent of promoting something make around 4 figures, but yeah. Even the the thought of monetised interactions is enough to make people suspicious about true or fake engagement

I think interactions meaning money ended up making everyone look at any post with some sort of suspiciousness. Like, are you really trying to have a discussion, or are you trying to generate interactions to get paid. This hasn't happened here (yet)

yield similar results in terms of CA growth and all of them will go straight into the physicals. It doesn't make any sense that training or not training should yield even remotely close to similar CA outputs, nor it makes any sense that not training at all should vastly improve your PHY attributes

@mustermannfm.bsky.social Lovely stream yesterday, but on the topic of training and how non-logical it is, you are slightly wrong. As the original thread said, you are still thinking about it as it is working as intended, when in fact it isn't working at all. A completely EMPTY schedule will (cont)

Most people *did* predict that they wouldn't have many healthy matches together tbf. To not have played at all 1/6th into the season and not expected to do so for at least 2-3 weeks while also having a nightmarish season, is another thing completely.
