This silly quirky roguelite in Dec 24 hits way beyond its weight class. This is honestly one of the best puzzles games of all time. It's one youtube video essay away from universal acclaim.

Expedition 33. It was a masterclass of a game. In my top 10 games ever.

Honorable mention to Crow County. That game f'n slaps. Played it both ways back to back. Glad I finally got it this year after convincing multiple people to get it last year when it came out despite not having it yet.

I started playing through all the MGS games for the first time in April, and I wanna give a shout out to MGS2 for permanently damaging my brain, but MGS3 is the best game I've played all year.
