In fact, I’d argue that listening to an author read their own work aloud is an exceptionally magical and even holy experience.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

To be so relentlessly ignorant (and shameless about being so) is also a superpower.

Even on here, I’ve noticed a distinct shift from people outside the country that’s essentially, “This isn’t funny anymore, fix your shit America.” I just wonder if our congressional invertebrates are feeling that at all.
