As a Canadian I find this weird.
We don't demand health records for our Prime Minister.
We don't have first ladies. We don't care to know about the personal lives of our politicians.

We do expect them to pass a high level security clearance.
We haven't elected a septuagenerian in my lifetime.

I think people are reaching the end of their patience with monopolies. It's killing all competition. Also, people like me who are low income can't afford to spend $10 more on anything. It's frustrating but I do my best to shop Canadian, or just not American.

Sadly that option is nearly impossible when you live outside the big cities. Many things that used to be available in local retail stores are now not because they have scaled back their products or gone out of business. We had a Rona and a Peavy's hardware store here, both gone now.

Ahhh, we both remember the olden times. 😂 Yes, but somewhere along the line some people questioned the integrity of poll workers and others believed them.

I have more faith in them because they are often seniors who take this stuff very very seriously.

In my province we have paper ballots. The ballot is handed to me by a poll worker. I go behind a barrier to vote. I hand the ballot back to the poll worker. She initials it & hands it back to me and watches as I insert it in a box.
The box has tamper proof features. The count watched by scrutineers.

Would it be better for the regime to own them?

I don't understand your issue with this. In my grandmother's generation most people died young because we had no antibiotics and vaccines. Would these advancements have alarmed you?

We are biological. We can extend life, if we are lucky, by taking care of ourselves but I have never bought into the ridiculous claims of A.I. and trans humanism.
