Doug Ford promised to protect Ontario’s economy, but by every measure he is failing.

Windsor, once Ontario’s engine of growth, is now at 11% unemployment — the highest in Canada.

Jobs are vanishing, families are struggling, and Doug Ford has no plan to turn it around.

The problem isn't with the Skills Development Fund. It's with the Ford government. Watch to hear what I have to say about today's AG report:

Yesterday I joined the Indigenous Legacy Gathering and Every Story Matters with David A. Robertson to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honoured Survivors, remembered the children who never came home, and reflected on the work ahead.

Every child matters, today and every day.

Leo Gerard was a giant of the labour movement. From Sudbury to the world, he fought for fairness, dignity, and justice. My condolences to Susan, his family, and union siblings everywhere. His legacy will inspire generations.

We know we can’t run the same campaign and expect different results. We will learn from the last election and we will build a strong, grassroots-led movement that will take on Doug Ford.

Trump’s tariffs are threatening our economy. Doug Ford is still cutting services and making life harder for working families. And Ontarians are left paying the price.

At a time of uncertainty, we need leadership that’s all in for workers and all in for labour. ✊

Universal health care is Canada’s greatest achievement. But families are waiting longer and workers are stretched thin.

The Official Opposition NDP will strengthen public health care — more doctors, stronger community health centres, nation-building hospitals, and no privatization.

I’ve written to Premier Ford ahead of his meeting with Prime Minister Carney, calling on him to defend Ontario workers by urging a reversal of the Liberal gov'ts union-busting back-to-work order and demanding Air Canada end this dispute with a fair deal at the bargaining table.

Elie’s commitment to fairness, his deep love for the North, and his loyalty to the people he served left an indelible mark on our province. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who are mourning his loss today. (3/3)
