Of all the inefficiencies of our health care / insurance system. The one that I've never seen quantified is the giant amount of wasted time spent sorting out insurance BS. Every company wastes 1000s of work-hours on open enrollment every year. This must be billions economy-wide

Gonna use this as an excuse to brag about my dad (80+) who went on two 15-mile bike rides per week with his old man crew prior to open heart surgery last year. Now he goes on two 15-mile e-bike rides per week, using the e-assist about 50% of the time.
