The artwork entitled Porcelain by Ash Something and commissioned by Jen Mundt. This piece was completed on 10/25/24. The artwork features a nude doll-jointed mannequin who has shattered their face and is replacing and rearranging pieces of it. On the work desk in front of them is a tabletop mirror with a black and purple victorian cameo design on the back, a hammer, super glue, and various face shards. In the background is a brick wall. Over the doll's left shoulder on the wall is a window where you can see out to a cloudy violet sky with a full moon. Over the doll's shoulder to the right is a wall-mounted oil lamp with a glass shade over it. The doll's hair is bright red and it has been cut roughly into a mohawk with uneven layers. The side of the doll's head has the remaining "stems" from where the hair has been cut. One hand is holding a shard of porcelain in place on her face as the other moves to place a new piece. The face itself is a hole, though it's angled toward the mirror as if the doll can still see. This piece was a personal piece to Jen, who wanted to show the point in their life when they made the decision to be themself instead of who everyone wanted them to be. The artwork Huldra by Ash Something and commissioned by @Elfwasted on Instagram. Completed on 7/27/24. The artwork features a central figure, sitting on a rock. He's leaning to the side a bit with his weight on one knee. the other knee is raised with a foot planted on the moss covered stone. The upper portion of his body is lit by sunlight while the lower portion is in shadow mostly from his own body. While the figure is nude, everything is hidden by the light and positioning. The figure has a long tail with red-orange fur, matching their messy shoulder-length hair. He has a pair of horns coming from the sides of his head, reminiscent of the highland cow. His hands and the visible foot have sharp black nails and the skin on his fingers and toes gets darker the closer it gets to the nails. His ears are pointed, and the outer sides are lined with fur, showing him to be some form of Fey. The background of the artwork is a forest with tall trees, moss and clover on the ground, and strewn with dappled light. A glowing white frame has been added that features intersecting shapes. A horizontal and vertical diamond overlap in the center with two circles, one inside the other, at the top and bottom points of the vertical diamond, creating a halo behind the figure's head and a ring at his feet for his tail to slip through. A thicker rectangular frame lines the outside, with the figure overlapping all parts of the frame to show that the white lines are in front of behind the figure at varying points. Ash Something's artwork entitled Xenobite. A personal work that Ash completed on 7/17/23 after around four years of work. The piece features a xenomorph from the Alien franchise, front and center, over a red tarnished background that fades to black on the outer edges. The xenobite is unique in that it has dual-toned chitin with the face, arms and legs being predominantly a steel-blue color. The head is segmented in small squares with nails driven through it and its chest is torn open in three small ovoids on each side. On top of this, the flesh on its thighs is pulled back and pinned to its hips. Its left hand is lowered between its knees, and it holds the puzzle box from the Hellraiser franchise, in the Lament Configuration. The other hand is raised at its side seemingly relaxed, but poised to strike if it needs to. The xenomorph's tail spans the width of the work in an infinity pattern, and the creature's mouth and all open wounds are dripping acid-green blood from them. This artwork is ©Ash Something Art 2023. Artwork by Ash Something entitled Sirin - Tattoo Design, commissioned by October B. and completed on October 16, 2022. This artwork features a fantasy version of the client (October) as the Sirin from Slavic/Russian mythology, with key differences being that in this version she has the body and wings of a Raven instead of that of an Owl. The image is a drawing of the Sirin flying in front of the moon. Her wings are outstretched holding her aloft, facing away from the viewer. Her head partly overlaps the moon in the background, but is turned to face the viewer with her black hair wisping out against the moon. Her legs are mostly human from her hips to ankles, trailing behind her so that her body forms a semicircle from wingtip to toes- however her feet starting at the ankles are black, clawed bird talons. The artwork is completely black and white, however the background is a flat beige color to represent the skin that it would otherwise be tattooed on. The background moon is done in semi-realistic grey-tone, and framed by a transparent black border that fades out from the edges of the moon only a small amount, leaving the Sirin figure and the moon itself being the only details for a tattoo artist to worry about. In the bottom right corner is the 2022-2023 logo for Ash Something Art, still featuring the now defunct Patreon Logo from when Ash Something Art presented on that platform.
