Called both of my senators yesterday. Got a machine for one and 2 full mailboxes in local and DC offices for the other, going to try again tomorrow and add my rep's office.

Democrats should demand every sitting Republican decry this attack and explicitly denounce it, and then censure all of them when they don’t do it. Act like normal decent humans defending your colleague.

This is a season of grief and struggle. Today we're going to share a long list of stories and poems - of hope, of not just surviving but thriving, of resistance, of unexpected kindness and connection in the midst of darkness. Save these up for when you need them.

Oh you're trying to say the cost of living is skyrocketing?

Donald Trump can't hear you over the sound of bulldozers demolishing a wing of the White House to build a new grand ballroom.

Many people are outraged that Trump is demolishing part of the White House. But of course Trump can't do it without help. It's ACECO LLC of Silver Spring MD ("full-service demolition") that is tearing down the People's House. You can call them and let them know how you feel. 1/

Do you know how cool that is for literacy, for book joy?! We are all worthy of reading, we are all readers 💚

And NOW episode three is out! Take a look, it’s in a book 📚🌈🦋

All readers can be separated into Austen readers or Bronte readers, regardless of whether or not they’ve actually read Austen or the Brontes. (Admittedly, a few people will enjoy both, as exceptions are the spice of life)

This is what Dems are drawing attention to and want fixed. Now, not later.

Pete Hegseth, the same guy who texted classified war plans to a reporter, wants to decide what the media can report at the Pentagon.

The First Amendment is clear: the government cannot stop a free press.

This order is unconstitutional and un-American.

Just submitted my #NYCMidnight #RhymingStoryChallenge and really had fun with it. It's been a rough year for writing, but my comedy prompt fit perfectly with an idea I'd been holding onto for a while, so it was great to finally put pen to paper on it!

I always tell up-and-coming novelists to use Locus to make sure they're up on the latest SFF news -- deals and deliveries, which agents are worth your time, forthcoming blockbusters, etc. Essential for writers and anyone else who needs to know. Check out their fundraiser and donate if you can!

CALL

" I live in a red state, they won't listen to me"

All congress folks take note when folks -call- Emails raise an eyebrow, a call scares the poop out of them.

If they receive calls they take it to mean that folks in their districts feel MUCH STRONGER than they originally thought.

My little magic spell of woodland birds and dappled light is on the front page today, and will shortly be listed in the archives of the ekphrastic challenge for future reading. I'm very grateful to both the editors and the artist; I loved…
