Kikyo WANTED to be reborn as an ordinary woman, and she got that chance as Kagome. She should have died for real early on in the series with that closure and everyone could have moved on. Keeping her ghost around for cheap drama ruined the series.

Framing the gayness as the problem is so shitty. The thing that makes the parents uncomfortable is admitting to their kids that their love (or god's love, whatever) isn't actually unconditional and will be revoked if the kid likes the wrong person.

They don't have to have conversations with their kids if they don't want to. That's the thing. Kids aren't really confused about it. It's adults that complicate it. And now these parents will point at real life gays for forcing them to have these conversations instead.
