it turns out that the reformist project to aspire into the citizen subjectivity of an implicitly heterosexual-masculinist liberal egalitarianism, i.e. the brotherhood, cannot exist without perpetual border-keeping, in particular [trans]misogyny

Around four months into the war on Gaza, scholars of genocide were reaching a consensus that what was happening in Palestine was a genocide, the crime of crimes, and I waited for the magazine to say so, too. I tried to talk to the editor-in-chief about using the word in our coverage, but he said he didn’t think it was a genocide. But the graphic does claim to know the numbers on under 5s so I’m confused about why we would circulate radically undercounts of lives saved.

Are under 5s excluded because full courses of vaccine are usually given at 4 years of age and so researchers felt that the data for under 5s would not count re: effectiveness of full vaccination? Or is it some other reason? Thanks .
