That was my first thought. My guess is more than likely it is one final year at the CoPa in 2026 and a deal of some kind will be struck with either the parent or some new entity. Meanwhile, keep calm and #Octiger on!

Would it feel different had Detroit lost game one and won game 2? I doubt it does for the players. Both teams would surely just looking to win game 3, whichever way games one and two had gone.

What's hard to believe about it? Not a whole lot of skill involved in being a Tiger fan since '68 other than being born already and growing up in the 'burbs of Detroit. Rather common story. Congratulations on making a wager based on nothing but your cynicism--that's the kind that rarely wins.

I think surprising in that it's a long history with so many games, but also, I'd think most nine run (or more) innings have that fourth or fifth (or later) batter who makes an out and then doesn't get up for, and/or around to score on, that second at bat. Still, amazing stat.
