If he promised to do it 2 weeks we have no choice but to wait the allotted period & then erase our short-term memory.

Consequences don't care why you incurred them.

Every time you use your power, you reveal its limits to friends & foe. You risk this only to attain an important benefit--preferably at the head of a large, capable coalition in agreement with your goals & ready to help you pay the price.

The media loves monetizing his demented ravings. See no consequences for the rest of us.

Illinois needs leaders who actually fight for working families and defend democracy. Proud to support @danielbiss.bsky.social — an experienced lawmaker who is smart, principled, and ready to get things done.

Vote for Biss on 3/17!

I have declared a State of Preparedness ahead of significant risk for widespread, severe storms and a heightened tornado threat across the state tomorrow, with the Department of Emergency Management coordinating readiness efforts across state government.

States sue the Trump administration to challenge policy requiring colleges to collect race data A coalition of 17 state Democratic attorneys general has filed a lawsuit challenging a Trump administration policy that requires higher education institutions to collect data showing they aren't consi...

Colleges shouldn't be forced to turn over massive amounts of student data as part of the Trump administration's ongoing attacks against DEI.

We won a court order stopping this mandate as our case continues, and we'll keep fighting to protect our students.

Journalists keep asking Trump & his apologists questions with a built-in presumption of normalcy when since 1/20/25 things have been extremely crazy. So Satan how would you assess the progress of the West Hell build-out? I'm getting reports of cost overruns.

Biden pressured Israel into a ceasefire, forced Israel to open border crossings to humanitarian aid, and delivered much of that aid.

Trump stopped 100% of all US aid to Palestinians, and urged Bibi to "finish the problem."

What the pro-Trump left did to Gaza, in Gazans' name, is shameful.

He was a good president. I miss him.

I mean, yeah, pretty explicitly, Biden seems to have been walking the tightrope quite well.

There are a lot of assumptions re: Biden on Netanyahu.

That
1) If Biden told Netanyahu to cut it out, he would have
2) If we cut military funding, Netanyahu would have been forced to stop in order to grovel to get his money back

And neither of these seem like very supported assumptions

America's power wrt Israel is extremely limited. Israel can pursue its various policies w/o American support. I think we should withdraw it but that won't necessarily change anything.

I think a lot of the discourse depends on willful misunderstanding. Netanyahu didn't in fact have a 'Stop Killing Palestinians' switch that Biden refused to pull. In reality, Biden was doing everything he could to restrain Israel from even more extreme actions, e.g., attacking Iran.

A Third of Americans Have Cut Spending or Borrowed Money for Health Care

1 in 3 Americans—82 million people—are skipping meals, borrowing cash, or delaying care to afford skyrocketing health costs.

With the expiration of the health insurance tax credits, premiums have doubled for many, hitting families hard. Americans deserve relief.

To the extent that Back the Blue, Support the Troops etc. are rules, Politico & the NYT are the cops, judge & jury who enforce them. Per their own discretion, they act as character witnesses. Results are as you note.

Great to be back in my hometown of Farmington this morning for breakfast with the Franklin County Dems!

Together, we’re going to finally unseat Susan Collins and give Maine people the voice in the Senate they deserve.

It is particularly sickening that Platner would choose to summarily dismiss the struggles of every marginalized group as "culture war stuff," as Platner has spent most of his adult life wearing a Nazi tattoo and issuing despicably racist, misogynistic, and homophobic slurs on social media.

Enough.

Senate Democrats proposed legislation this week to fund FEMA, TSA, and the Coast Guard.

Senate Republicans blocked it.

Absolutely shameful.

Unlike Trump, I happen to believe that the Constitution is something more that just a mere suggestion box.

We need to do everything we can to flip this seat and send someone to Washington who will stand up to this administration.
