Call for help to all mobile / #web experts! I am trying to make a setup video to enable people to use a tablet for web development (As I suspect most people interested in this would be web developers)
But I hit a major block, I can't find a way to use chrome dev tools, if anyone can help let me know

Going to Dox myself a bit. I live in South Africa, we have load shedding ( scheduled power outages)My power was supposed to be on an hour ago, it's like they knew I was planning on working the second it came online.

My first hour of work is always my best and sets my tempo for the day :(

As a self taught developer who joined the workforce before ChatGPT was announced even, I can understand why people might be sceptical of hiring self taught developers in the vibe coding (vc) day and age.

Read some horror stories of CS Grads vc as well.

I'm just sceptical of everyone now really.

Ditching caffeine is one of the hardest things I've done but I was drinking 2-3 energy drinks daily. Today I'm one week free, tea has been a great help

Does anyone know of good in-depth guides on using the Unity UI Toolkit? I know I can read the docs but I am hoping there is someone who already did that for me :D

I agree with this to an extent, you need to do it for things that makes sense and be willing to refactor. If you create modular scripts for things that "likely" will not apply to other "things" then you can really bloat your project and be working with tons of files.

I think at some point the GDD may just be split into smaller sections for teams to maintain but still one with a bigger picture for team leads / project managers? I got no clue either haha

Where do you fellow game devs believe the Game Design Document (GDD) belongs, and is it applicable to every team and size you have worked on? How do you use it during the games production? Does it help keep the game focused?

Now I have 32GB Ram (The 4GB soldered got ignored, fair enough) PC feels so much faster!!

This is such a valuable feed for me (and I think many others) I don't mind ads, everyone needs to pay the bills. With the work you've put into this I have confidence you'll finetune the adds to make some money and keep the quality of the feed without too much bloat.

12GB Ram is no longer doing the job with my day job and with massive docker containers. (2x 4GB sticks and a soldered 4GB)

Super excited to upgrade to 2x 16GB sticks this weekend.

Just having work apps open and a browser is making me go into swap memory.

Procedural stuff is awesome and something I need to try and learn for my upcoming project. I found a Unity package called Edgar that worked pretty well last time I used it.
