Very interesting. I can't see why the Milo concept can't be brought to life now. That would feel like next generation gaming. There were some really good accessibility uses of the Kinect too, such as the OAK switch from Japan. Feels like it slipped through MS's fingers somewhat.

This update will be quick and your console won't need to restart. Some features might not work properly if you don't update ot the latest controller device software. To update later go to Settings, Accessories, Controller General, Dualsense Wireless Controller Device Software. Two buttons at the bottom. Update Now (which will fail for some controllers) or Notify After 24 Hours.

Worrying from Sony... Are they about to kill off all alternative accessible input devices / wired controllers that are not officially approved?

Will that be "Gaming that is accessible for all"?

In my experience, the TRRS cables are often more fragile. I've had the plug parts fail to connect properly causing confusion. Plus using an in-line PCB to convert to USB, you can tweak deadzones / sensitivity / etc.

Is anyone else having trouble with drift through the X1 port on the XAC after updating?

I tried using a few of our 3.5 mm trrs joysticks (oak, spruce) and finding drift only in X1 port and not X2.

There is no microcontroller or board between the joystick and trrs cable on the joysticks I have.

Hello Tyler. I almost never use, nor recommend TRRS joysticks if there's a USB alternative (such as by using an in-line HID Remapper v8). Definitely worth bringing up with Microsoft though, as I'm sure they'll want to know your experience. Hope all's well your way.
