He closed 50 public schools in mostly Black neighborhoods! Every kid needs to have a public school in their neighborhood so they can build community, attend extra curricular activities, have equitable transportation, etc. He was a horrible mayor.

As a former teacher, I cannot stop thinking about the stress that vulnerable children and their families are under right now. My former colleagues received an email about ICE coming into schools, though at the time, it was still illegal.
