Wishing you well Sarah. I work in a medical history library and museum. Whenever I have something procedure or surgery-ish coming up I look at the cases of medical instruments and thank human curiosity that I am alive now and not "then". It's still not easy though, if it's a big thing. ❤️

Son and partner transiting through Dubai from NZ when the airspace closed. Their flight from here was delayed, or they would be home by now. Very worrying, but they are safe at the moment. So yes, thinking about and feeling for all those stuck there.

I arrived on the shores of Aotearoa over 12 years ago. Every year there have been cuts to public research and redundancies of public researchers. I cannot overstate how dire this is and how much of our future we are losing.
