A really insightful blog exploring "the limitations of conventional therapy in addressing [collective and intergenerational] trauma rooted in historical and systemic oppression"
A pale yellow background with a cartoon image of many people at the bottom. Text on the image reads as follows, ' INVISIBLE DISABILITIES WEEK 19-25 OCT 2025, Disability will affect many of us at some point in life and it can take many forms that donโt always show up visually. This week is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the diverse experiences of disabled people and to remember that not all disabilities are visible.'
Did you know that around 70โ80% of disabilities are invisible.
Not all disabilities are immediately noticeable, they can include conditions like neurodivergence, mental illnesses, chronic pain, hearing or vision impairments, and more.
This week is an impotant reminder to challenge assumptions

The death of Diogenes Many a dogged mile Iโve marched, and for this? None of you droogs strayed so far from the fold. Itโs death and death only: piece of piss, come to think of it, what with (truth be told!) my dodgy knees, and nothing much left in the tank. Somethingโs amiss, if all that gets me barrelling down the road is crystal meth of a morning. Hellfire and hyperkinesis: my kind of a roll! Now Iโm a touch too old for battery, theft โ or vagabondage. Still, vis ร vis the powers that be, I reckon I broke the mould: never been one for shibboleths or slogans, or shotgun shamings. Lately itโs the abyss which beckons. Iโll lift up my cup at the threshold, leave you bereft in the blink of a fucking instant. Youโll not dis or dismiss me again! Iโm paroled: one deft move, Iโm dusted and done, and you all can kiss my raggedy arse goodbye. Nothing for it but to hold my breath โ
