Having a hard time believing this ides of March story, you're telling me senators did something other than send out fundraising texts
At long last. Took me over a year but here it is: Four straight hours of Lebanon and in turn the best possible summary I could manage of general middle eastern history.
It won't get many views, that much I'm sure of. But I'm very proud to have made it and learned so much.

Possible solution to the Strait of Hormuz?
Many Washington Post readers have been notified via email that their subscription rates are set to increase. Nestled at the bottom of these emails, you’ll find an asterisk and the following: “This price was set by an algorithm using your personal data.”
My 1am Hot Take:
Iran have shown remarkable restraint over the past 20 years or so. e.g. that time in 2024 that Israel launched air strikes at them and they sent a volley of missiles back with a note that said "I trust that this settles matters"
And the US have mistaken this restraint for weakness
Let there be as much outrage from politicians in Washington when kids go hungry as there is when I break bread with New Yorkers.
I'd ask Tommy who was interviewed a couple of hours after the picture on the left was taken, and who was entirely unable to stop himself from boasting about how he now had the tallest building in downtown Manhattan
I never used to believe in horseshoe theory but the unwelcome thoughts I keep getting and having to suppress about certain individuals make me think there is something to it
Ed, stop posting actionable material, it's neither big nor clever.
And particularly don't leave a big typo in it when you do so.
Not even the Nazis expressly announced they were committing war crimes. Indeed, at Nuremberg war crimes were denied.
But here, openly, the US Secretary for Defense is explicitly admitting to committing war crimes.
This was the same episode where Paul Merton said of pre-PM Boris Johnson "it's going to be a disaster, isn't it? he's going to do something surprising and extraordinary and we're all going to go "oh no, he's a fucking idiot""
Oldy but bestie
If you're wondering why they never considered the possibility of Iran denying passage through the Strait of Hormuz, you have to remember that most of these people wouldn't be able to find Iran on a map, much less look at shipping routes
It took them a while to get there, but the guardian were finally able to come up with an angle to turn the Union Corner fire into an "SNP bad" story
Nature is healing
The author would be rightly appalled at me using her article to say this, but while reading this, a thought came into mind several times: "Luigi was right"

How did your day 1 go?
... one can only conclude that the desired outcome of the system is that such people either cease to exist, or pay to go private.
Scunnered. Done with it all.
NHS Highland have stopped all adult ADHD referrals for people who present as less than Level 4 (severe, constant impairment to daily living), and the system is designed to block everyone but the most persistent. Since those who suffer the worst have the least ability to see things through...
It's like none of these people have ever watched an episode of the Crystal Maze
Increasingly of the opinion that the correct answer to the Trolley Problem is "fuck you, why are you so fixated on finding reasons to justify killing people?"
Sigh. Cycling isn t even mentioned.
Which can be a huge money saver, as well as getting you healthier. When I switched from car to bike i was saving almost £200 a month, and it wasnt much slower cos not stuck in traffic.
Bizarre.

Going through my image archive looking for something and happened upon this
It's not clear who bombed the school in Iran with an American missile during a barrage of American missile strikes, but when we find out who did it we're.. The war... not a war... not a war... the war is over, my beautiful Americans. Soon, maybe. Very complete.
Two points:
1. They’re not “expats” they’re “migrants.”
2. Them abandoning their pets will hopefully give each and every one of these people just a little bit of insight into the incredibly hard decisions refugees have to make when they’re fleeing war zones.
The yacht currently has a value of £0. I need to overhaul it and go sailing on it, but it turns out that as soon as I buy all the equipment to do a thing any enthusiasm for doing that thing evaporates.
I've already got a yacht :(
This is probably my least favourite mood. I feel energetic but completely directionless and it's usually this mood that sees me at my most insufferable or prone to doing something stupid like buying a boat
State of this guy. Some of his wilder predictions include "earthquakes in Greece and Indonesia", and "war or warlike conditions in the Iran region for the rest of the decade" no fucken shit sherlock
