Hear me out. Who was the first dude on the podium at the Euros final there? Was it Tom Cruise in a Mission: Impossible mask? And if youโ€™re saying no, are you sure? The face, the eyes, and the hands donโ€™t match the face.

Iโ€™m so grateful for the opportunity to present my Frith Prize talk at the EPS meeting yesterday โ€” it was such an honour and a delight! I had some fascinating questions and conversations that will definitely help shape my next projects. Huge thanks to @exppsychsoc.bsky.social for the fab conference!

Hereโ€™s my opinion - letโ€™s stop saying a piece of work is from someoneโ€™s (the most well-known personโ€™s) lab. Letโ€™s credit the first author even if we havenโ€™t already heard of them. How do PhD students and postdoc and other ECRs get known if we erase their names from discussions of their own papers?

What an absolutely brilliant concert with Stamford Chamber Orchestra! Mozart narrated a โ€˜childrenโ€™s guideโ€™ piece written specially for us by John Sturt, complete with kiddo violins & singers. Jupiter symphony was genuinely one of the best things Iโ€™ve played in a while - well done everyone!

Ugh no. I met Mark once, a long time ago. He and his wife, Gabby Giffords, are absolutely amazing. Look them both up. Mark and Gabby have such a collective wisdom, they should be listened to.

"...there is now a worry that REF2029 will enable a different injustice: that institutions can hold onto the outputs of staff they have sacked, while making it harder for them to gain new academic employment because they are no longer linked to the work they created."

ITV commentary once again is totally unhinged - thereโ€™s clearly a bet on as to who can say the word โ€œwardrobeโ€ the most. โ€œHe is a nicely built, nicely aging French wardrobeโ€. Mad. Also strong choice from Twickenham to choose โ€˜Chumbalezeโ€™ for their hanging around music. #EngFra #SixNations
