This week’s #crochet square: Sidney’s Blanket. I always crochet a new blanket for my dogs. Here’s Sid’s Blanket for my little ray of sunshine.

This week’s #crochet square: Sidney. We went to the Humane Society and picked up the oldest pup there. Sidney is 13 yrs old, blind and deaf, weighing in at 7 lbs. So the square is black & gold (Sidney), red for the pain he’s suffered, blue for surrounding love we give that good little boy.

This week’s #crochet square: Last of the Fall Leaves & Rain. I think this reflects the sadness of losing my little Ricky. The house is so quiet.

Forgot the most important part of the red scarf I’m weaving…the weft is wool yarn from the Faroe Islands, the warp is 8/4 Maurice Broussard yarn. Yes, experimenting!

Halloween tonight!

Completed 7 rows…yea! The gray squares at the top are the weeks before I began. Very colorful despite the gray. Only 2 more rows and 4 corners to go.

This week’s #crochet square: Ricky. I’ve put away his toys, blankets, food and water bowls. Still waiting to hear his tippy-tappy as he comes down the hall.

This square was so hard to do, but it looks how I feel this week.

Yes, he was. Also, a very loyal little buddy. Never complained. We tried to make his last years special.

My darling 19-yr old pup, RickyBobby, is nearing his end. Breaks my heart. He’s the last of the “three musketeers”. Because of my age, Sweet Ricky will be my last dog. Huge emptiness for me, but he’ll be reunited w/Lucy & Sammy. & one day, I‘ll see them all again & will receive all the dog smooches.
