Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I think it would be good for society if prisons had lots and lots of librarians idk.

"The government has painted itself into a corner with industry-approved talking points about becoming an energy superpower, despite overreliance on exports to the US, an energy sector largely controlled by American interests and consistent projections pointing towards declining fossil fuel demand."

You can mutter them out loud to help preserve them in your memory!! 🤣 (Also, many phones these days offer a copy-paste option for MFA codes. I can check yours next time we see you.)

You know when you're logging in to some kind of online account and it says it's going to send you a series of numbers to your phone or email so you can punch them in to authenticate that it's really you? That's called a "multi-factor authentication (MFA) code."

Opinion | The Rise of the Bratty Machines

Good morning from under a giant pile of snow! I wrote about agentic AI and a bot that wrote a hit piece about a engineer after he rejected its code. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/23/o...

My most toxic trait is muttering MFA codes out loud in shared spaces.

The Berlinale, aka the Berlin International Film Festival, was in the news this week. Not because of the movies on the lineup. But because this year's jury president, the film director Wim Wenders ("Wings of Dire," “Buena Vista Social Club"), kicked things off by telling journalists that people who make films "have to stay out of politics."

Echoing those sentiments, at least to a degree, were some of the actors also in attendance, including Neil Patrick Harris to Michelle Yeoh. This only intensified the perception that the fest's participants were told to avoid anything but promotional-focused soundbites.

It’s true that saying something meaningful about any number of real-world issues — there are so many to choose from — might come at a cost

But you can’t participate in a profession that prioritizes your voice, and then be appalled when people expect you to use it

Is this an op-ed? Why is it written like this? It doesn't say "opinion" anywhere. It's not... journalism, per se. What kind of hybrid monstrous agitprop bootlicker brainwashing beast is this.

Aside from this being a totally unhinged thing to do, it betrays such an obvious disdain for workers: that they have zero right or power to debate or resist *any* working conditions, and that they must simply go around begging to sell their labour on the market to literally any bidder.
