Authorities say the suspect intentionally drove a pickup truck through the synagogue’s front entrance and down a hallway before encountering security officers. The vehicle caught fire inside the building and the suspect was later found dead in the truck.

Developing story: Police in suburban #Detroit have responded to an “active shooter situation” at Temple Israel, one of the largest synagogues in the United States.
The shooter was killed after ramming his vehicle into the building and there were no other casualties.
