Collections Spotlight: the Parke-Davis Capsule Colour Selector

This artifact was donated by a former salesman for Parke-Davis. Parke-Davis clients could customize the gelatin capsules for their product. The selector even slides to create endless colour combinations!

This installation explores disenfranchised grief, motivated by the loss of Tracey-Mae Chambers’ son, Parker. Each piece of clothing used in this installation has been donated by someone who is surviving the loss of someone due to the consumption of a harmful substance that resulted in death.
