Thank you for your advice. We are using drop shadow because we don't players focus on the text too much, but we will try your suggestion. And which artwork do you like the most? Each one have different characters face.

Could you let us know which approach you prefer? Or perhaps a mix—using the visuals from one option combined with the layout from another?

We're designing cards for a game where you describe two players by placing tokens on the cards. The text on the cards is used to describe the characters’ backstories, but since we want the game to focus on visuals, we’re considering removing the text if it affects the overall design too much.
