one of my inspirations. When I see him talk about what he loves, I feel an overwhelming urge to push myself as a musician and create more.

If you're ever stuck, I suggest taking a moment and looking up one of his interviews. I'm particularly fond of his interviews with Nardwuar as he obviously has

stage is incredible, but is not to be overshadowed by how soft and tender some moments can be.

I could honestly continue like this for so much longer, but I think it's best to just leave it with this:

The man embodies what it is to become one with music and because of that he has quickly become

infuses all of his influences in his work and has amassed such a sonically varied discography without sacrificing who he is as an artist.

Furthermore, watching his live performances is jaw-dropping. You can see how he lives through his music and lets it overcome him. The raw energy he brings to the

specific culture or genre. With Brazilian, African, and so many more styles of music on the table, he can seemingly discuss anything you throw at him.

And so much of it comes through in the music he makes. Tyler has musical sensibilities beyond anyone else I've seen. With a through line of rap, he

find someone whose entire existence is seemingly consumed by it. His knowledge feels almost unrivaled outside of music historians. When he speaks he has such reverence for everything.

From the most obscure records to bonafide classics. From decades past to current day. Plus it's not limited to any

I haven't really talked about it, but I absolutely fell in love with Tyler, The Creator's 'CHROMAKOPIA' near the end of last year. Like, head over heels with the album.

normally do, I have to start in a different way.
· Really heavy -> Bass.
· Very technical -> Distorted guitar.
· Groove-based -> Drums.
· Melodic -> Clean guitar or piano.

- I'm most inspired to write and mix when I'm discovering new music that's totally different from what I always listen to.

Over the last few years I've found that writing original music is a very interesting process for me.

- If I go in trying to make something specific, it either sucks OR turns out well, but nothing like what I intended.

- If I want to write something that sounds completely different from what I 1/2
