The lizard leaf blower study was looking at natural selection. It was $75k of funding. Such studies are important for scientific progress. The grant went through a competitive process adjudicated by knowledgeable scientists. Bureaucrats should not be determining what is worthy science.

I wonder why the WSJ didn’t publish the letter? Did they just hear of its existence? I find that it was the WSJ that reported about has to be more damning then if the NYT did.
