We're making it because we believe games hold space for complicated truths, and in doing so, help someone feel less alone.

Fractured Blooms is the most personal thing I’ve ever worked on. It comes from stories in my family, from moments we don’t talk about, from pain that’s hard to name. Making this game has been our way of trying to understand that.

I want to acknowledge that I regret not addressing this confusion sooner. Things moved quickly during SGF, but clarity and care for our partners, friends, and community are values I hold deeply. I fell short of my own standards here, and I take that to heart.

Despite any perceived similarities between Fractured Blooms and DDLC due to the way the game was announced, it's critically important to me to clearly state that Dan is not involved in Fractured Blooms in any way.

Dan is a visionary developer & a close friend, who I care about deeply & continue to be inspired by. Working with him has been one of the most meaningful collaborations of my life.
