I know. I've never once seen an American use a Canadian flag to hide their status as an American. Ever. Anywhere. It's a complete myth.

They don't. I lived my first 33 years in the US and never once, not ONCE, did I witness or even hear of a fellow American who did this. But I hear about this endlessly from Canadians. It's a myth. I've been a Canadian citizen since 2001 and now proudly display the maple leaf, because I'm Canadian.

Are you serious? Of course the UCP is majority. We in Calgary and Edmonton (especially Edmonton) are held hostage by the rural ridings that vote 90% UCP and who sadly have the majority of seats in the ledge. I'm proud to have an NDP MLA (Calgary-Buffalo) but we'll never win without rural support.

Speaking for Canada, to which I immigrated from the US in 1997, immigrants absolutely have moulded the country into the mosaic it is today. Not the image of whence they came, but it's an ongoing project. That's how it is in the Americas and the rest of the "new world."
