We definitely grow canola. But it is rapeseed here.

Working to make things less sh!t for charities. Really here for the Archers chat.

12.04.2025 10:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Hmm this isnβt an uncommon scenario. Kid feels let down at crucial time in their life and holds onto that into adulthood. Years of resentment and guilt and lack of willingness to see another perspective.
27.03.2025 18:15 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβve often wondered this. The new info makes me wonder even more.

Though now iβll be thinking about Brannigans beef and mustard for the next week. Best crisps ever.

In what world does 1800 βnearly doubledβ equate to 2400?
Is this a maths riddle?
By my mental arithmetic thatβs not even 50% more?
What an interesting read. We have two Samuel Smith pubs in our town, both closed. Interested to see what happens if he does retire.
21.12.2024 08:48 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes! I joined my village choir six years ago and it is the one thing I do for me, and I make time for without question. It is pure joy! Iβm the youngest member (in my 40s) & average age is prob 67. And itβs so freaking joyful just to sing with people who also love to sing.

07.12.2024 00:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Still from film #Shrinking. Jimmy driving his Ford Bronco, raising his arm in the air in celebration, with Sean in the front seat smiling at him.
Just look at it! No head rest, no air bags, open top, and what are the seat belts even going to do?
06.12.2024 17:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Every time I watch #Shrinking I can't get passed how dangerous that Ford Bronco is. Particularly for a man whose wife died in an RTA.
My Mum and niece were critically injured in an RTA and just looking at that car causes me to break out in a cold sweat.
Surely he'd not let his daughter drive that?
Really insightful & accessible read on how genAI is being used in workplace, v. relevant to charity sector.
My takeaways:
1. AI won't really add until you embrace digital
2. Check out who is using it & listen to them & their views on digital.
3. People will use it. So get data security in order!
No caption. But what gorgeous creatures!
I was smugly thinking yesterday 'my cat doesn't jump up on the kitchen surfaces'.
Walked into the kitchen this morning to see the ratbag jumping down because she heard me coming..
So I strongly agree it is revolting.
Great article thanks Rachel. And a lovely conversation on this thread.
01.12.2024 10:12 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agree. This is what I regularly say to people who ask about using genAI for fundraising. It will only be good if you input what you know as an org, and have real clarity to start. Otherwise itβs generic fluff.
01.12.2024 10:11 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This is an interesting point. I regularly hear people recommend use of genAI to small charities particularly where staff and volunteers have English as a second language and find writing funding applications a challenge. But Iβve not seen or heard anywhere itβs made tangible difference.
