I didn't defend it. I just
expressed skepticism that this was evidence of it, since the Palestine people lie all the time about everything.

They've told so many many lies, about so many things, and have been caught so many many times, why should I automatically trust this particular allegation?

It's awesome that American pundits are just allowed to be racist about me and my 14,000,000 brothers and sisters day in and day out for years and years and years with no consequences whatsoever

"No one is fighting Trump except Newsom."
MILLIONS of people across the country, elected and not, are fighting Trump EVERY DAY, from feeding people to providing free healthcare to pro bono litigation to organizing.
What you mean is YOU aren't fighting Trump.
Posting isn't fighting.

As DC was taken over by Trump’s secret police, where were congressional Democrats? They weren’t in DC and some weren’t even in the US.
Instead of fighting back against the authoritarian takeover here at home, 22 House “Democrats” were being spoon-fed lies about Gaza on a trip paid for by AIPAC.

My question is, at what point does it not become a stunt? At what point does it become the thing it's trying to look like? When they carry weapons? When they shoot someone? When they surround the capitol building? When they're in the Senate chamber? When they put a bag over your head?

Soccer needs to change the off-side rule. Make it like hockey. Create an offensive zone and once the ball is in it any pass is ok.

As Gaza starves, Tel Avivians act like bagel-loving Jewish hipsters in New York

When I post about bagels, it’s usually to proclaim the superiority of the Montreal variety over NY’s inferior version, or to lament the fact that I haven’t eaten either for years (since my celiac diagnosis). But this article, on bagel culture in Israel, is far sadder.

Firing and demoralizing feminized jobs as enemies of the state while brazenly bribing men with violent jobs that almost instantly puts them into the middle of middle class is very basic gendered warfare. Fulfilling the manosphere’s promise.

How War Became Israel’s New Normal
It is a mistake to think that Benjamin Netanyahu is solely responsible for Israel’s genocide or that removing him would bring it to an end. To win support for war, he has mobilized large swathes of Is...
This is a good companion piece to the Foreign Affairs article I shared yesterday, as it tries to provide a materialist analysis as to why the anti-Netanyahu alliance failed to become an anti-war one, and extended support for genocide. jacobin.com/2025/08/war-...

It's disgraceful that organizations like the ADL, the leaders of the Democratic Party, and the New York Times spend significantly less effort denouncing the antisemitism of neo-Nazis running the US government than they do policing the language of powerless campus protestors.

I'm Jewish and I think about antisemitism all the time. I can't tell you how fucking weird it is that Homeland Security posting literal neo-Nazi propaganda generates less discussion about the threat to Jews than a mayoral candidate who believes Palestinians are human beings.

People say Toronto is the most multicultural / diverse city on Earth, with over 50% foreign born from a wide variety of countries. Not sure if that is a better or worse metric than languages in terms of ranking diversity. Queens is similarly diverse to Toronto I think.

Agree NYC is best. As aside, I lived in Richmond for 6 years. Liked it. Like Charlottesville too. I love Lewisburg, WV, 2 hours west of Cville, where my wife was born and much of her family still lives. It’s a charming town. I’m writing article about only Jewish family that lived there 1925-1965.

I mean you actually can't find the culture you can find in New York essentially anywhere else in the United States other than Los Angeles, and we have the advantage of being something other than a car-choked hellscape that's on fire two months a year.

Fascism is here. We are not “getting closer” or “in danger of.”
This matters because it frames our discussion: We aren’t trying to prevent it, we’re trying to defeat it. It’s not taking over our institutions, it’s taken them over.
Otherwise, we’re always behind, fighting a past we’ve already lost.

AI is powerful tech of the future, with major economic and military implications.
China is America's main geopolitical competitor.
So the Biden admin restricted AI chip sales to China, and the Trump admin facilitated AI chip sales to China to get a cut of revenue for itself, do I have that right?

Trump just killed Solar for All — a $7B program to cut electric bills for 900,000 low-income families, create good-paying jobs, and boost clean energy in red and blue states alike. Higher bills, fewer jobs, dirtier air — all to please fossil fuel donors
