So I'm officially unemployed.
After being at or near the top of my industry for several years, I've burnt out.
I'm taking some time off to take care of myself. I'm unsure if I'll return to hospitality. But I do know I need rest.
Here's to the end of one era and the beginning of another.

The contrast between how Picard season 3 handles DS9 and Starfleet Academy handles DS9 shows which set of writers actually watched Star Trek and understood it and it wasn't the Picard writers.

I'm going to go ahead and shout out the DS9 casting team because looking at Cirroc now, you really do get the sense that Jake is Benjamin's son. And it's not just the bald head and facial hair.
You can tell Avery had a PROFOUND effect on Cirroc growing up.
So Star Trek: Starfleet Academy finally addressed this. And while I did not get the answers I hoped for, my heart is full.

Currently facing a conundrum:
I am hungry. But I am also perfectly warm and toasty in my bed on a very cold Monday morning.

My white barista has been on a neo soul discovery journey this year. Every few weeks I'll bring up a new song or artist for him to look into. We chat about music while he makes my coffee.
Today I had to break it to him that D'Angelo passed.😔
After the third person I had the realization that even though we're all online on all the same platforms, we clearly congregate on very different parts of the internet. 🤭
I had 3 different people comment to me during conversation that Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry are 'Official'.
In each instance I was like 'That's been public knowledge for at LEAST a month now. 🤷🏿♀️'
