Weird old guy - record curator - wine drinker - cook - husband - dad - door knocker for local races - former stage 4 patient - getting kinda old. The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

Imagine my surprise when my dad popped up in my feed this morning. Yes indeed that is my pop. He turns 90 in a couple weeks.

Been years since I hit a record show. Maybe I should reconsider.

I have no idea what this is - I take the TV out of the box and watch. Good enough.

I have over half the records in the basement to prevent such a catastrophe (and to maintain marital harmony). Heading to the Rhône next week. Maybe some French records will be found…

I’m sorry but all my favorite pop singers will all be on this list - Bob, Neil, Michael Hurley, Willie, Iggy, and there is a real double standard for women - you have to actually be able to sing to get anywhere…

He’s been on hiatus for nearly a year - a great resource that I fear will be lost.

One of those true stereo records labeled as fake stereo. Horns and piano left while drums and bass are right.

Unfortunately this music, by Gil and Brian or Giacomo, seems to always be relevant to the current times.

Mine is about 30 years old - clearly underused.

When I lived in Exeter only Bull Moose was in Portsmouth - last visit also Modern Records. Personally I would go to Stereo Jacks in Somerville - one of the better places for jazz that I’ve been to.
