Everyone I know has stopped eating Tasmanian salmon. A friend is a ChemEng and his first job was in Canadian salmon farming. He will never eat farmed salmon. He didn’t even want to talk about what they did there.

I grew up with Nena singing that song. First in German, then later in English. It has real meaning. We lived under the daily horror of a potential Russian attack and invasion as I grew up. It’s just been “normalized” or rather we have become desensitized to that still distinct possibility.

We can all have opinions. In Germany Kölsch is Kölsch, as is their beer. Plattdeutsch is spoken in Nordfriesland, yes.
Don’t consider Cologne (Köln) northern Germany.
Also, the more north you go the more bitter the beers seems to be.
