This year’s edition took place at the Palacio de Congresos in Granada, gathering thousands of professionals from across disciplines. The CVDLINK team participated in this key cardiovascular forum to connect with national experts and exchange insights on the latest advancements in cardiovascular research, clinical management, and ongoing national trials. Some highlights: 🔷 The team attended several insightful sessions, including ones focusing on diagnosis and management of coronary syndromes with and without atherosclerotic plaque, and recent advances in atrial fibrillation management. 🔷 Participation in discussions about how imaging data and physiological signals can be integrated into prediction models to improve diagnosis, risk stratification, and personalized care. 🔷 Focus on the role of artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies in transforming cardiovascular management—enhancing early detection, clinical decision-making, and the implementation of data-driven, patient-centered strategies. The CVDLINK consortium has completed the full system design of its #federated repository, a platform that enables #researchers and #clinicians to collaborate, predict, and prevent #cardiovascular events without moving or exposing patient #data.

Clinicians shared both optimism and caution: strong potential for #AI, but persistent barriers like #data fragmentation, time pressure, and limited #digital training. Respondents indicated that tools must be useful, trusted, and easy to integrate into daily workflows.

Predicting long-term risk of sudden cardiac death with automatic computer-interpretations of electrocardiogram - PubMed This proof-of-concept study shows that automatic interpretation of ECG identifies previously validated risk features for SCD.

The study analysed data from 8k patients treated for acute coronary syndrome, using computer-interpreted ECG and #machinelearning to explore long-term risk of sudden cardiac death. Findings highlight the potential of using existing ECG tools to support early intervention for patients at risk of SCD.
