Thank you to everyone who came to our pop-up celebrations as @newsweek.com's new no. 2 hospital in the world! It's amazing to see TeamUHN wearing their passion and pride on their sleeves!
More details to come for TeamUHN staff, learners and volunteers who were unable to attend in-person!
That typo is priceless! 😅
I wouldn’t do it any other way. Go Andy!
Before and after peer review - never gets old…
I got something along the lines: since you have all the single cell data why not look at all the pathways and all the cells instead of focusing on a couple of pathways that you have preliminary data to show said pathways are involved and the grant is feasible?
I’m reading these and thinking, why are we submitting again? Masochism?
Great job! #proudPI
Day 3 of #EMBLCardioBiology 2026 in Heidelberg with more outstanding talks such as the one on #endothelium in #adipose by Joanna Kalucka, a great poster session and a tour of the city to wrap it up!
The lab was well represented!
Great to see beautiful work by fellow Canadian labs!

Day 2 at #EMBLCardioBiology 2026 in Heidelberg kicked off with an inspiring session on #cardiovascular #regeneration spanning the full spectrum from fundamental basic science to clinical trials.
Outstanding talks by @kasinans.bsky.social Florian Weinberger Wolfram Zimmermann@eldadtzahor.bsky.social
A fantastic kickoff of #EMBLCardioBiology 2026. Great speakers and a keynote by Alessandra Moretti
Looking forward to day 2 tomorrow when I’ll be chairing a session on cardiovascular regeneration.

Right?
Can’t bring myself to like this comment…
Done it in the past for more egregious comments than this & nothing was done. It’s a very time consuming & energy demanding process & my previous terrible experience reinforced it’s not worth dedicating time I’d be using to work on a resubmission 4 this. I’m glad you had a better experience though!
Unfortunately it doesn’t.
Agreed. I am not good in guessing anyway. I’m just trying to gauge if I should try a different panel if the expertise is clearly absent from a panel…
Chair, yes. Everyone else, useless.
Silly is an interesting choice of words
When does CIHR publishes the names of the ppl in the committees?
Nothing beats f2f. Still far from perfect but definitely superior
There’s no winning, really…
I mean… anyway
Gotta have a thick skin for sure!
I’ll sorry but with less $ end more competition I think these types of comments will actually increase in frequency
And what do you say in reply? And does it work?
I’ve had the same experience in a different even more preposterous review in the past
Totally fair, but this is a bit much. In almost every page there’s mention of previous work and the technologies my lab has developed and or used in the field…
I confess I’m struggling to not do it 😅
But that’s way too much
