This is true. However I'm a US citizen living abroad (Vietnam). For me, marriage is largely the reason but nobody is obliged to "stay" in their home country to make it better. Many things come before country for me.

Well it's interesting. History has a lot of different definitions. The ancient Greeks thought history written had to be contemporaneous and personal. Writing history as past events, records, or statistics would not have made sense to them.
