Why has no group or leader suggested that we boycott this lunacy with our wallets by withholding taxes? If a large proportion of the public does this, we send a resounding message that we will not support a govt that improperly spends our money &, in fact, wants to steal it by gutting SS, Medicare.
So what are you doing about it? The American people want bold, decisive action, leaders who will fight alongside them and have an aggressive attack plan. Giving press conferences after site visits won’t do. When POTUS ignores a court order, we are in a Constitutional crisis. Wake up or step aside.
I found @chrislhayes.bsky.social's interview with Schumer to be eye-opening. Now that I understand Schumer doesn't believe we're yet in a constitutional crisis, his tactical shortcomings make sense. But his position here is also deeply out of line with rank and file Dems. We need new leadership.

We…you… have voice and agency. Protest, join an organization like Indivisible or mobilize.us, encourage friends and neighbors to protest and put pressure on their Congress-people. Don’t economically support companies that donate mostly to the GOP, get out of mutual funds that invest in Tesla, etc.

AOC: It is almost unthinkable why Senate Democrats would vote to to hand the few pieces of leverage that we have away for free when we've been sent here to protect social security, protect medicaid, and protect medicare.
Much of the government is already shut down by Trump/Musk. If you vote for the CR, you cede all power to the GOP. The long-term consequences of voting for the CR seem far worse than the short-term consequences of voting for it.
