Oops; it's 3am again. Was US Army, stationed in Germany; described the *music video* for the song. Recall the lyrics were German (not Rammstein), so I have no idea what they were saying.

AOC to @pabloreports.bsky.social : A swastika is one of the clearest symbols of hatred in all of humanity… to remove that designation… indicates a possible collaboration with those very elements, which I think is genuinely frightening to any American.

How right-wing superstar Riley Gaines built an anti-trans empire The swimmer tied a trans woman for fifth. The MAGA industrial complex took care of the rest.

A fascinating aspect of this is how much the anti-trans panic is about displacing fears that are far more real: of male coaches who abuse female athletes.

Deep purple, jewel-toned gift wrap printed with a lively, geometric Two-Spirit Pride Flag inspired design. The pattern reads festive but refined, bringing a handcrafted, vintage-inspired vibe to packages. Use the satin finish for a luminous, celebration-ready sheen, or choose matte for a more subtle, library-shelf elegance. The paper holds crisp folds and resists scratches and water, so bows stay neat and corners stay sharp. It complements thoughtfully wrapped presents for those who love bold color, mid-century patterns, and layered textures.

Haven't been around much. Overwhelmed with life at the moment, but I did want to pop in and let you know that I have been quite busy setting up a new store. Some of my new offerings are these nifty wrapping papers as well as skirts, dresses, and more.

USian; spent 50+ years hearing (and saying) it as BOO-lee-*on before a French Canadian finally corrected me and I had to look it up to be sure. Have also seen too many people call (and spell) the small rodent "hampster"🐹.

If you're trying to convince your friends to spend time on Bluesky rather than X, maybe show them this. X is not "the public town square" or about "free speech." It's "just what Elon Musk wants you to see." If you see stuff he doesn't like he'll step in to make sure you don't see it for long.

Much like in the US where establishment (D) would rather court legacy (R) with name-recognition than acknowledge a newer more Leftist (D). The metaphorical "tent" is indeed big, but still just as exclusionary. They do have differences (lesser of two evils), but act like "Two cheeks of the same ass".

The use of motorway services in this image really underlines this is about excluding people from public life. When you stop at a motorway services, you're on your way somewhere else. It's the most banal space possible. Now we'll all have to check we conform to gender stereotypes in order to pee.

Much like the Sympathetic Villain who was "driven to revenge because [excuses]". Disney Plus series for Loki had him toned down, but he still cause the deaths in The Avengers and the first Thor film where he murdered his own father (MCU father was Laufrey), Phil, and however many in Jotunheim & NYC.

Was 35 years ago, so I forget the band and song, but man keeps visiting a strip club and ignoring his family. Stinger to the song is when a dancer finishes her sexy performance and removes her mask, to reveal she was the man's daughter. Not all men, but it's always men.

Screenshot of Microsoft asking for feedback on Word where I wrote: One of the worst times I had this year was spending DAYS trying to turn off that horrible, awful AI, copilot. I am a writer, I have spent years honing my craft, and it is frankly offensive to offer to rewrite what I just wrote with a stupid machine. I almost stopped using Word until I FINALLY found a way to turn it off. I don't want to use AI and you still keep trying to ram it down my throat and I hate it.

Semi-related. VA Hospital, had an appt with my Neuro spec of a few years set for March. Get a call saying that appt has been cancelled and I need to reschedule... they set it up for the EXACT DATE AND TIME as previous but "with a different provider." Guessing my Neuro got RIF'd like so many others😞.

Also make sure to turn off smart workspace settings (the button right below the first setting which shows up after you reload to turn off the first one)

Unfortunately this will also turn off some basic formerly non-AI functionality like, y'know, spellcheck. 💀 As if this wasn't already a dick move.

I've had a missile blow up next to my airplane, been shot at dozens of times by anti-aircraft fire, and launched into orbit — all for my country. I never thought I'd see a President call for my execution.

Trump doesn’t understand the Constitution, and we're all less safe for it.

U.S. Coast Guard Will No Longer Consider Swastika a Hate Symbol The Coast Guard seems to be fine with Nazis now.

Decent people: "Hey, these hate symbols are terrorizing some of our service members. We should do something about that."

Coast Guard: "Say no more, fam. Those are no longer hate symbols. Problem solved."

An incident in a locker room has always been key to Riley Gaines’ anti-trans fame.

But @msjpauly.bsky.social spoke to swimmers who were present at the same 2022 meet. They shared a very different narrative.

Gaines never talks about her teammates who were raped by her coach that she supported.
