It's an advert for a book. On the left is a quote. It says "Ominous with small-town despair, Jamie Woods' Black Skies Die Starless is a stylish coming of age take, set in the 1990s. Punky and unfettered. Intense and cinematic. So evocative, a reader might glimpse themselves in the passenger seat of the next car at the red lights; spliff in hand, head back, blocking out the best years of their lives. Tracey Rhys"On the right are stylised words - Punk Dust Poetry, Black Skies Die Starless, Jamie Woods, 1st July 2025, punkdust.com and all good bookshops. In the background is a photo of a young man looking naive and lost.

"Every bombed village is my hometown"
- James Baldwin
And every dead child is my child.
Every grieving mother is my mother.
Every crying father is my father.
Every home turned to rubble is the home I grew up in.
Every brother carrying the remains of his brother across borders is my brother.
Every sister waiting for a sister who will never come home is my sister.
Every one of these people are ours, Just like we are theirs.
We belong to them and they belong to us.

Many disabled people spent 14 years holding on, surviving Tory cruelty, by focusing on 'if we can just get a Labour gov, this will stop'.

I can't describe the community's betrayal and hopelessness now it's turned out Labour not only haven't stopped, they're going further.

I've made a late-night recording (it was 11pm so I do look a bit knackered) of one of my poems from the new collection. This one is about multiple miscarriages so bear that in mind if you feel it might upset you. youtu.be/2P1qQhMQY3E?...

"Oxwich doesn’t wave its past in your face; it lets you stumble upon it. What it is, is a gentle, constant presence – a place that lets the bay and the cliffs do all the shouting while it leans back, waiting for you to notice just how much it has to say."
