Enjoyed getting back out to Waterloo last Thursday to participate in the Black Hawk County Democrats’ Chili-Fest. Perfect timing for some comfort food and a little friendly competition. Tried some really great takes on the classic, but don’t blame me if I still think my wife’s was the best.

I always love to visit Marion County! It was great to be at Central College yesterday in Pella for an in-depth conversation about how to reinvest in our small towns and rural economy. Costs are just too high now, and our rural communities are getting hit especially hard.

Is the government ever going to release the name of the masked agent who killed Alex Pretti or are we going to continue to have a federal secret police in this country?
