Space Cat

Space Cat

@thewesson.bsky.social

A cat from space. Confused and confounded by the human species. I paint things and stare into the void. The void says “hi”. One day I will post without a typo, but today is not that daay.

Careful, the kind of sobriety that this game produces is Terry Pratchett Klatchian Coffee levels of sobriety: past sober and out the other side to see things man was never meant experience.

Kal Jericho led Underhive Outcasts gang for Necromunda.

Welp, time to kick off the 2026 Necromunda season. Running an Underhive Outcast gang led by Kal Jericho because I’ve had the model for three years and hadn’t touched it yet. Still a bit of touch up to do.

I dunno man, maybe we just in general shouldn’t be weirdos or assholes to people regardless of their follower size.

Chuck Wendig does amazing horror/dystopian: Black River Orchard, Wanderers and it’s sequel Wayward. Also did a fantastic Star Wars trilogy; Aftermath.

And where you know the food has so much cholesterol it would make your doctor visibly cringe.

If 50 Cent has taught us anything, it’s that we can be better haters of things like AI.

Does it come with fancy new trauma to match the fancy new cover? Not that the old trauma wasn’t traumatic enough, but asking for a friend.

This is my sign to do my annual re-read of Black River Orchard and re-traumatize myself in order to prepare for whatever fresh horrors the new year will hold.

The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzi Across the 8th Dimension. The most 80s film to ever exist.

Well this is the most insane thing I’ve heard today. Which is saying a lot.

You’re a coward and my only regret is I can’t say that to your face.

Why in the fuck should you get my vote if you can’t even show enough spine to hold out for the ACA extensions? Schumer and his ilk are useless. Way to blow all the goodwill that won you a ton of elections a few days ago.

If you end the shutdown without getting the ACA breaks implemented than no democrat should ever win an election again. Don’t be a fucking coward.

Got anything with more lava? Bond villain style, but with air ducts too small for a man to crawl through.

Just because this one person may work in the field and fail to understand something doesn’t mean everyone in that field doesn’t understand it. Saying “I’m an expert and since I don’t know what I’m doing, no one does” isn’t a valid argument. Thus the foul on the play.

They can’t reason because they can’t grasp context nor make cognitive leaps (inspiration if you will). IOI medals aren’t a sign of reasoning, it’s just a sign enough relevant data points have been shoved into the system and weighted by humans to provide the output to pass.

AI boosters need to read this thread about a hundred times.

Aside from this, I’m firm in my belief that one reason people cling to the false idea that LLMs have some ability to feel is that humans often anthropomorphize inanimate objects. Giving my car a name doesn’t also give it feelings.

In fairness, that’s like 90% of the market.

I swear, AI boosters make it sound like these things sprang fully formed from Sam Altmans mind like Athena from Zeus.

Personally I blame a mix of the tendency of humans to apply human traits to inanimate objects a lack of formal education on the subject. Like naming your car, only creepy.
