for more philosophical fantasy, please I am once again urging everyone to pick up an Ursula K. Le Guin book. Despite being a prolific author in her lifetime, she's still so underrated. Earthsea is great! She was great. Check her out. Spiritually, she is my auntie.

also her work is totally original and not surface-level "original character do-not-steal" versions of books you read in highschool english lit. Cool!

One of my favorite moments in book illustration is when John Tenniel cleverly transitioned the image of the red queen getting shook with a kitten getting shook, with one page turn. It's so cute and funny, and a borderline meme.

As a horror fan, it’s so nice to see the genre finally being noticed by the Oscars. If there was ever a time and place for horror to be accepted as a form or art and critique on our times, its NOW 😂💀

The book will be free. This is a hobby. I already have a career in art so its nice to have another creative outlet that isn’t burdened by capitalism. Maybe if more than 2 people read this I’ll make some cheap merch but I’m not going full booktok.

Update on the book - been waiting for my 60 days to be up so I can finally transfer my site to wordpress and make it look nice ✨ the book is complete on epub and even has a cute cover, and some cute character art.

The first two movies I've seen in 2026 so far are Pillion and 28 Years Later: Bone Temple. I hope movies continue to maintain this level of whimsy going forward.

In Gothic stories, you can find all of these elements. You can find the forgiveness in the works of Dickens, or the erotic in Carmilla. It could be black and white, it could be opulent reds and greens. It could be all these things. I'm very grateful I get to see both on the screen.
