I also think football has the most replay value of any sport. Thereβs enough variety to the way goals can be scored, and enough scarcity, that theyβre pretty much always of interest. Itβs basically the perfect highlight factory.

One, I think a big part of the growth to dominance of football in the last 10-20 years is the number of offshoot activities that all feed the machine. FPL, gaming (FIFA + FM) and gambling being the main ones. Football just has so many hooks.
