I never really expected this to be... *good*, but the sheer scale of their failure and congruent immensity of their egos has been a wild thing to bear witness to.

Seconding the Warhammer and City of Heroes recommendations, both run by independent teams of fans, completely free, and no blood money involved.

CoH is even officially licensed by the original company, so no worries about it getting shut down in the near future.

It's certainly not immersive, but it got a giggle out of me 🤷‍♂️

The nice thing about Homecoming is that swapping servers is really easy if you want to switch - Excelsior is by far the most populated, and is my personal recommendation if you're not a roleplayer. If you are, Everlasting is the go-to.
