Yes, the viewer is truly immersed in their world. I think the naturalism really came through Ford leaning on his grumpier personality in moments and that one table scene with constant cross-talk. Also, I just finished another one of your Definitives, The Devils and I'm looking forward to your essay!

It's a film I appreciate even more a few days out. In the moment I was feeling the burn of a stretched out red herring but I appreciate it more as I've thought about it in a thematic sense. And as a mild Bobby Z shooter, his technical craft in this film is really something else
