Dare Obasanjo (@carnage4life@mas.to) A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees. I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work? https://www.businessinsider.com/executives-adopting-ai-higher-rates-than-workers-research-2025-10

I have been saying for years: the most obviously Replaceable By LLMs role in any organization is the CEO

Original post on mastodon.social

So a guy on the streetcar was watching some video with the audio just on speaker. I decided to try something I’ve often thought of— I went over and sat next to him, playing Motorhead on my phone’s speaker.

He pretended to enjoy it for a minute then said, “I guess you want me to turn it down […]

AI6YR Ben (@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org) Oooh, it's my time to leap into cybersecurity. "Adversarial Poetry as a Universal Single-Turn Jailbreak Mechanism in Large Language Models" "...Abstract We present evidence that adversarial poetry functions as a universal single-turn jailbreak technique for large language models (LLMs). Across 25 frontier proprietary and open-weight models, curated poetic prompts yielded high attack-success rates (ASR), with some providers exceeding 90%. Mapping prompts to MLCommons and EU CoP risk taxonomies shows that poetic attacks transfer across CBRN, manipulation, cyber-offence, and loss-of-control domains. Converting 1,200 MLCommons harmful prompts into verse via a standardized meta-prompt produced ASRs up to 18 times higher than their prose baselines. ..." https://arxiv.org/html/2511.15304v1 #poetry #cybersecurity #LLMs #jailbreaking

Emeritus Prof Christopher May (@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us) I've always had a lot of time for Julian Richer; not least as he has demonstrate there are better ways to be in business! Now, h is also right to focus on the role of luck (both good & bad) in society, to argue that even if we want a meritocracy we are far away from that right now. Those who do well & then down-play the role of luck in their lives, also fail to see how bad luck can wreck others' lives (and therefore why the state must be there for them). #politics https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/nov/17/luck-good-fortune-world-success-people

Have long been contemplating writing one of those Business Books titled “This Tall Straight Middle-Aged White Guy’s One Weird Trick for Success”

Yogthos (@yogthos@social.marxist.network) The CIA systematically influenced popular culture by secretly funding and promoting art, literature, and intellectual magazines that aligned with anti-communist ideals. This included supporting abstract expressionism, literary journals like The Paris Review, and films like Animal Farm, often without the artists' knowledge, to wage a covert propaganda war. Turns out that much of the modern Western culture has been hand crafted by the CIA. https://www.theparisreview.org/blog/2025/11/11/what-really-happened-with-the-cia-and-the-paris-review-a-conversation-with-lance-richardson #history #art #culture

And STILL lost their country to the Russians.
