years ago, our kinship would do weekly story nights, and they'd challenge me to make up a story on the fly with 5 prompts, " in the style of..." various author types often was part of a prompt. My two favourites were the H.P. Lovecraft style night, and the P.G. Wodehouse ( Jeeves n Wooster ) :)
