I haven't been on here much lately, but checking in to say that I turned 33 years old today. 32 was a great year for me, but I'm hoping 33 will be even better!
I'm very happy to introduce the newest member of our family. She is an 8 week old mini goldendoodle.
Welcome to the Ousky family, Ariel!
It's very cold across most of the country, so to counteract that, quote-post a favorite photo from a summertime baseball game.
I'd give a lot for a warm, weekend evening in Cincinnati.
I've received exactly one baseball in my life from a Reds player and it was from Will Benson who threw it to me.
Benson is my son's name, so he has had the ball in his room ever since.
At Redsfest over the weekend, my son finally got the ball signed by the guy who is now his favorite player.
I'm about a week late on this, but I read 86 books in 2025 amounting to over 36k pages read.
I need to thank public libraries for being responsible for around 95% of the books I read.
Hello, Minnie.
"It's JJ Bleday Day with Jim Day."
Great Lakes Christmas Ale sausage got dinner tomorrow.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the Ousky family!
After losing Williard back in the fall, my wife and I debated if we wanted to get a dog again.
Our son was missing having a dog, so we decided it was time to look at adding a furry member to our family.
This is Ariel and it's looking like she'll become a member of our family come next month.
It was a good Saturday.
It's 69 days until Spring Training games start.
I'm an optimistic Reds fan, but I'm not today.
Missing out on Schwarber sucked, but I expected him to stay in Philly and that's his right.
Hearing that the org will pocket the money they would've spent on him is a slap in the face to the fans.
If you're not trying to win, you don't deserve fans.
It's fine. That's only the baseball team I've supported for the last 32 years of my life.
It's fine.
Happy Sunday from Disney World!
We started off our day and our vacation by decorating a Mickey Mouse cake.
My cat, Minnie, is looking rather regal this evening.
I've had a very stressful week.
This evening, my son came up to me (unprompted) and told me he wants to be just like his dad when he grows up because he loves his dad.
Today is a good day.
Moose and Castellanos are still the largest free agent contacts the Reds have given out.
It's really hard to believe they'd give out one for potentially double what those were.
Like most baseball fans (it seems), I don't root for the Dodgers to do positive things.
However, Dodger Stadium is a Top 5 ballpark in MLB.
It has been a hard week since my dog passed away over the weekend. I miss my buddy, but I know he's healthy again now.
The emergency vet we took him to that helped his passing sent us a personalized card and it meant a lot to me that they did that.
I miss you, Williard.
It's been a hard day. My wife and I had to help our dog cross the rainbow bridge last night. We adopted him when we first moved to Cleveland. He was around when we got married, became homeowners, and when we became parents.
Williard (his name) will always be a member of our family.
I personally believe that making the playoffs and having a poor performance still makes for having a better season than any team that didn't make the postseason.
Now that I will not be going to anymore baseball games this year, I can make this post.
I went to 21 games across 9 MLB ballparks.
I never saw the Reds lose (6-0).
I crossed off all four permanent ballparks in California.
My son crossed off his 6th at PNC Park.
It was a good season.
I'm at the "sitting on the couch" portion of the Reds game, but soon it'll be "standing nervously in front of the TV" for the rest of the game.
My wife most definitely got the city connect one of these earlier this season in Philly.
I really like this picture I took at GABP yesterday.
Happy 1st year of retirement, Joey Votto. I hope you're enjoying life; but, man, I certainly miss you playing for my favorite team.
Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.
PNC Park, home of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies.
