We are currently working with and supporting our impacted community members while continuing to gather information on the several dangerous and harmful experiences that our protesters were put through by the police, Sequeerity, Allied Universal Security, and TC Pride.
We are aware of a false narrative that Sequeerity has posted relating to their participation in assaults on queer and trans protesters. We are aware that they have posted a statement as soon as possible to control the narrative around their behavior this past Sunday.
Corrected address for art build
- Increase community involvement and transparency across TC Pride operations. We deserve a board that is actually reflective of our local community, not just executives and wealthy donors.
- No Cops, no Military, no FBI at Pride.
Stop promotion and recruitment at Pride. Remove police presence from parade and park
- We demand TC Pride uses their platform to stand against physical and legislative attacks against trans and queer people.
TC Pride is more concerned with not angering conservative queers than standing against attacks on our community.
- Prioritize queer and trans community members over politicians and celebrities.
- The park, the parade, and performance spaces should center the most marginalized members of the local queer and trans community.
Our demands of TC Pride committee:
- No corporations at Pride! Especially companies that fund anti-queer politicians, are destroying the planet, or profit from genocide
Come to our marshal training on Sunday, then marshal with us for our march on the 29th
Join us on the 29th before the parade to march and demand a Pride that fights for queer rights, chooses community over corporations, and honors Pride's roots as a rebellion against repressive cops.
Join us 6/21 at 2pm at New City Center for a special Resisting the Raids panel focusing on resisting police violence - Stonewall to ICE.
