One thing I WILL say Valve still needs to do, and the ONLY reason I still have a Windows drive, is SteamVR. SteamVR is the *only* thing that doesn't work well (if at all) under Linux, although it was workarounds...But people don't wanna tinker, they want it to *work*. It's literally the LAST thing.

When people say "I want SteamOS", what they're actually saying is "I wanna play games without Microsoft Windows."

Chief you already CAN. The special sauce for SteamOS is Proton, which lets you play Windows games on Linux...which you also get when you install Steam on Linux. Its already THERE.

Too many people see this and say "OOHHH I WISH I HAD STEAMOS" but then fail to realize that SteamOS is made for a console experience, not a PC. Also, all the things they want from SteamOS ALREADY exist in virtually all modern Linux distros.

Also, importantly, Stoat has a mobile Android app while Fluxer does not. Anyone know of that's changing soon?

Current experience with Discord alternatives:

I do seem to be getting more friend reqs on Fluxer over Stoat, which is surprising, as Stoat seems to have a bigger user base...also, Fluxer seems to go down more often due to its massive user influx.

Still haven't decided where to make a server yet.

There's too many people who think that just because Discord dropped Persona, that now everything is fine.

...No chief, they still very much intent to get your ID and/or biometics just like before. Just because its gonna be a DIFFERENT evil company doing it changes nothing.

Do yourself a favor: Get on an alternative service. You don't have to delete your Discord, but it sure wouldn't hurt.

They're both very similar in the fact they're Discord-like, however Fluxer has its own version of Nitro is seems (call Plutonium), which Stoat just has all the features out in the open. There more under the hood but I am very surface level with them so far.

RAPTOR DRIVES! The dopest shit you could get before SSDs became mainstream...should try to get a Velociraptor next to add to the collection. Throw some of those drives in RAID 0 and they were almost as good as SSDs!
